On the 17th of March Tecno International participated in the Annual Practice Forum “Value through Volatility: How Sustainability Creates Value in Turbulent Times”, hosted by the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business in New York City.
The forum brought together leaders from academia, business, and investment to explore how sustainability can act as a driver of resilience and value creation in an increasingly complex global landscape.
Our participation reflects Tecno International’s continued commitment to engaging with leading international platforms where sustainability is not only discussed, but actively shaped through research, innovation, and cross-sector collaboration.

Building on our presence in previous editions, the event offered a comprehensive programme combining research insights, executive discussions, and interactive workshops. Key sessions explored themes highly aligned with the challenges our clients are currently navigating.
Key themes emerging from the forum included:
-
AI as an enabler and a reflection of priorities
Artificial Intelligence emerged as a cross-cutting theme, with a clear message: AI systems optimise for what they are designed to prioritise. Without integrating sustainability into these parameters, it risks being excluded from future decision-making frameworks. -
Sustainability and strategic prioritisation
Discussions emphasised how structured sustainability approaches can support more effective resource allocation, align with evolving consumer expectations, and increasingly contribute to financial performance and investment decisions. Further highlighting the shift towards embedding sustainability as a natural component of business strategy rather than a competing priority. - The attention challenge
In a context of growing complexity and information overload, sustainability must be communicated with clarity and immediacy to remain relevant at decision-making level. This reinforces the need to move beyond compliance-led narratives and position sustainability as a clear and compelling value driver.
Beyond the content itself, the forum provided a valuable opportunity to exchange perspectives with a diverse network of stakeholders, including researchers, corporate leaders, and investors. These interactions are essential in identifying practical approaches to translating sustainability into measurable financial and strategic outcomes.
This experience once again reaffirmed Tecno International’s commitment to supporting organisations in positioning sustainability as an engine of opportunity, not only as a response to external pressures, but as a deliberate and strategic lever to navigate volatility, drive innovation, and create long-term value.
