As 2025 draws to a close, Tecno International reflects on a defining year of affirmation, one that consolidated our position as a leading player at the intersection of sustainability, digital transformation, and strategic innovation.

Building on the momentum of previous years, 2025 marked a step change in scale, recognition, and international relevance for our work across ESG, SustainTech, and SME transformation. From global thought leadership to landmark recognitions, from academic collaborations to capital markets, this has been a year in which our long-term vision translated into tangible and measurable impact.

A Landmark Milestone: Tecno Group’s IPO

One of the most defining moments of 2025 was Tecno Group’s debut on Euronext Growth Milan, marking the beginning of a new phase for the Group and its broader SustainTech vision.

As highlighted by Giovanni Lombardi, the listing represents not merely financial growth, but the evolution of a business model centred on digital and sustainable transformation. It reflects years of strategic investment in innovation, advisory excellence, and impact-driven solutions.

With this milestone, Tecno reinforced its role as a reference point for sustainability-driven SMEs and signalled a clear ambition to scale its impact across Italy and international markets.

Strengthening Our Global Presence and Strategic Dialogue

In 2025, our international footprint continued to expand, particularly across the UK, Europe, and the United States, alongside our role in shaping high-level strategic dialogue on sustainability.

Earlier this year, our team travelled to New York City for a week of focused engagement on ESG and sustainable business strategy. We participated in the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business Annual Practice Forum on ESG and Climate Risk, contributing to conversations at the forefront of academic, policy, and industry thinking.

During the same visit, Tecno International hosted a dedicated Breakfast Conversation on Sustainability & Business Strategy, led by Allegra Fortunato, Head of Strategy and Director of the UK Office, together with Professor Paolo Taticchi, OMRI, Board Advisor to Tecno International. The discussion explored how organisations can move beyond compliance and transform sustainability into a driver of long-term strategic value.

Looking beyond Europe and the United States, Tecno International continued to strengthen cross-regional dialogue, bringing together voices from Europe and the UAE for our webinar “Sustainability Across Borders: Trends, Risks, and Opportunities in Europe and the UAE.” This cross-border conversation explored how collaboration, innovation, and shared learning can turn sustainability challenges into tangible business opportunities, with industry leaders from both regions sharing perspectives on accelerating credible and scalable sustainability transformation.

Empowering Innovation and the Next Generation of Changemakers

Supporting emerging talent and innovation remained a cornerstone of our mission in 2025.

For the third consecutive year, Tecno International proudly co-hosted and sponsored the #SustainTech Pitching Competition with UCL School of Management. The 2025 edition was record-breaking, attracting an unprecedented number of applications and showcasing outstanding ideas at the intersection of sustainability and technology.

The competition reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing the next generation of entrepreneurs and building platforms that help translate bold ideas into scalable, real-world impact.

Sustainability in Practice: Events, Research, and Real-World Impact

Throughout 2025, Tecno International actively shaped sustainability discourse through events, research, and applied case studies, reinforcing the link between strategy and execution.

As part of London Climate Action Week 2025, we co-hosted “From Insight to Impact: The Future of Sustainability for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises” at UCL School of Management, in collaboration with RG Sciences (RGS). The event focused on practical strategies enabling SMEs to move from ambition to action, reinforcing our belief that SMEs are central to the global sustainability transition.

We also co-hosted “Circular Agriculture for a Resilient Planet” alongside the Consulate General of Italy in London, UCL School of Management, and BAT. The event marked the launch of the white paper “Circular Economy in Agriculture: Stories from Italy”, showcasing regenerative and circular models shaping the future of agriculture. A panel curated and moderated by Allegra Fortunato, featuring ZERO, JustOneEarth, and CNH, explored how circular solutions can be successfully implemented and scaled across sectors.

Recognition, Awards, and Academic Acknowledgement

2025 was a year of exceptional recognition for Tecno International and its leadership.

Our transformation journey was featured in a new UCL School of Management case study, authored by Professor Paolo Taticchi, and Allegra Fortunato. The study traces Tecno’s evolution from a mid-sized consultancy into a platform-based SustainTech player, supporting thousands of SMEs while operating at the intersection of sustainability and digital transformation.

We were also honoured to receive multiple awards and nominations throughout the year. Tecno International was shortlisted for Enterprise of the Year at the Global Sustainability Awards and received first place for Partnership of the Year at the UCL Centre for Sustainable Business event “Transforming Business through Sustainable Innovation in AI”. At the same event, our work was further recognised throughhighly commended nominations across the AI in Sustainability, Future Leader, and Sustainability Leader categories.

Finally, the year concluded with a particularly meaningful recognition: the Sustainability Director of the Year award from the Institute of Directors (IoD), presented to our Director and Head of Strategy, Allegra Fortunato, in recognition of her leadership in embedding sustainability into corporate strategy at scale.
